Hammerhead Question

I rode a treshold before but stopped because the welding on the front end was grinded down and i was afraid it could break. I've heard that i'm not the only one having this problem, and i heard that the hammerheads were designed to avoid this from happening. But yesterday i saw a hammerhead for the first time and it has those welds at the exact same spot. Does anybody know more about this?

The plate on the front is welded on separately or something I think, I remember TSI posting a status that said something like "even if you grind the front plate completely off, the deck will still be as strong as an open face extrusion deck"
Also, its welded on the inside and has a stronger inside Weld compared to the v1 and v2 models of the Thresh.
Ive had my v2 Thresh for like 8 months and it has all of the welds at the front completely worn down and it still hasnt cracked though.

The v2's and hammerheads would take so long to grind all the way through to the point that it would snap.

aight, thanks for thhe fast feedback guys, I'm just tired of spending money for decks that are grinded through after a few months.

for real, use wax. you can destroy any deck by constantly grinding it on shitty surfaces, doesn't matter what kind it is. if you use wax it will seriously prolong the life of your scooter.

Of course i'll use wax. My parts are very important for me so i take good care of them.
