a bunch of people have made them, i made a pretty gnar working prototype with bike parts and scrap, but i broke it and scavenged the parts.

i think i'm going to make a real good one though, maybe sell kit things.

i remember some video idk how long ago it was but i think it was some french riders, they took a fucking long ass bolt and like drilled a hole in there bars right at the top, then put the bolt down thru the bars and had some sort of spring thing going on and the bolt was long enough so it touched the wheel when you pressed it down, and it stopped the wheel. i think thats how it worked

no handbrake, and the only downside was you couldnt run it with threadless cause the compression would get in the way of the bolt

Yeah this, just a huge as bolt down through your bars touching the front wheel with a spring at the top!

iwas thinkin about this once......maybe if the cable went in2 the bars (through a hole) and wen u clamped the leaver it would come down your forks onto the top of the wheel......

that would work but then what after that? like bolt a mini metal peice that the cable pulls up on one end and then push down on the other?

something like that
