Handplants, i need some help PLEASE!

Ok yea ive been trying them for a while now and heres what ive got.

#1 I get the handplant and fall back onto the deck of the quarter
#2 I get the handplant and i cant carry through so i fall back the way i came.
#3 I slip off the scooter once im upside down.(different feet position?)
#4 I get it, carry through, and the front wheel slams the coping and i have a fun trip to teh bottom of the ramp as usual.

Some advice would be much apreciated

BTW im trying this on the 12ft section of the vert ramp if that helps

They are fun. Ive never landed one but ive heard about the joys of steezy handplant landers and their extravagant lives.

Its the only ramp i can get the handplant on, plus my pads slide a lot better on the wood than the concrete ramps the rest the park is made of.

handplants are hard
i tried to do one over the spine and i just ran into it
it was like falling out of a tree onto cement

for spines, you will need be going fast enough to stall the top.

when you are 3/4 of the way up, turn your wheel to the side (opposite of your hand you will grab with) and lean forward. (if you grap the coping with the right hand, turn left) (if you grab the copingwith left hand, turn right)

when you are over the spine its time to get out of the handplant, use the arm on the spine to throw yourself back into your wheels and land. it is very awkward and will take a while.

youll do fine if you just remember to:

go slow.
turn your wheel just before you leave the ramp.
lean forward.
and throw yourself back on your scooter.

i can handplant out of a bowl on flat which is kinda stupid.... but it's a start
