so i recently started getting serious about doing hangfives and i really need some tips/help at the moment im probably going for like 60cm, i just can't seem to balance and hold it on my front wheel and i know that its mainly practice and yes i have griptape on my neck, but i just need a few friendly tips that helped you learn/get them better thanks for taking time to read this.

get some older shoes on andwhen you hop into a hang 5 drag your toe its kinda hard to explain but it just teaches you were your balance point is

make sure your front foot is out in front of your headtube/front wheel/fork and when you pull it back your hang-5 will be easier and more stylish to come out of

Also parrish i watched some videos and people had there foot behing them not infront?

everyones gonna say this.. but just practice. i know what it feels like when just starting off learning them, i thought i'd never get my balance and keep up-right, but in 2 weeks time i started to improve and now 2 months later i can hang 5 whole netball courts.
the best advice is:
1. put alot of pressure on your arms and push it straight down into your bars ( keep your arms pretty much dead straight once you got the balance point).
2.try and lean forward almost as much as you can without flippin over your bars. because this is the balance spot, (DONT BE SCARED TO FALL FORWARDS! think that when trying them, it makes them around 3 times faster to learn).
3.have the foot that wves around in the air pointing straight down.
4. and have your other foot with a little over half your toes on the very starting bit of the headtube, and the rest on the deck. and make sure that your putting all of your pressure on your bars and front part of your foot. i hope this helped, and that you can understand it all properly.

Knox^ He knows what he's talkin about and everyone says this because when I was learning them I wanted tips too but just don't be scared to go over your handlebars like he said it just takes a lot of practice and time. I also realised that if I used new shoes it seems easier?

it takes alot of practice but don't be afraid to fall over your bars cause you ll need to lean forward quit abit so you don't struggle to stay up, find your balance point and keep practicing

turn you bars around so that the short side of the fork is facing forward. that way when your practicing its easier and you dont need to push as hard.
