Joey this might be attila kid from black diamond. Attila pit kid. But anyways, straight edge kids run the hardcore scene now. I see stars snd like moths to flames frw.

-.- Straight edge is the Ed Hardy of hardcore. And 14 year old kids that claim straight edge have no impact on the hardcore scene that's been around since before most of us were born.

Idk man Im edge i mean it all depends on the person that says there edge its a lifestyle of choice and its for life hence lifestyle but yea man i know what you mean there is always kids claming edge but never are serious about it and those are the poser kids man you got posers in everything now of days its sad dude

I don't care about the lifestyle choice. Props if you actually stay with it. The thing is straight edge kids don't control the hardcore scene that has been around for a long time.

Theres sooo many -core bands that are christian/religious and you wouldnt even know it at first.
Im not religious at all (and Im not here to debate) but you cant deny good music haha. I could never get into For Today that much though, they get pretty preachy. I havent listened to much of their newer stuff that my friend recommended, but I thought what I heard was better. I think its called Breaker, or something like that?

TGI is sick as hell. Ive seen them twice. They put on a damn good show and get the crowd moving. Definitely worth it if you get the chance.

For Today, Underoath, and We Came As Romans(possibly, some of it sounds religious) are all pretty sweet after getting over the religious aspect. I also couldn't really get into For Today because of the preaching though.

i don't like for today, and i'm definitely not hating on christianity, but for today's music is waaaaayyy too christian.

i like underoath a lot, especially their newer albums. their really subtle about being christian too, read this; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Underoath#Christianity

If you like TGI, check out Gideon. Listen to the song Gideon and youll see how much they sound like TGI, and theres a sick beatdown riff towards the end.

Haha I always wondered how native English speakers perceive Christian lyrics. I remember hearing 'JESUS I'M READY TO COME HOME!' in one of the Underoath songs and thought it could be a little... disturbing if it were said in my language (not hating on Christianity though). So if I don't like some certain lyrics I usually switch off my inner translator and think of vocals as just another kind of instrument. Wonder if that works for other people =]

Still Alive is awesome once you get used to those guest vocals. The way he says "end" at the one part used to bother me haha.
This is just a random thought I had because I saw you mentioned FTFD too. Did you know theyre old drummer is in TGI now?
And have you ever heard their old singers band Legend? Theyre fucking sick.
