yeh over like 7 is perfect quality anyway, so the 19mp is just so that they can make big posters and billboards n stuff out of the photo keeping quality amaizng

when you're some dumb kid that just shoots skateboarders and only makes 8x10 prints, no its not.

when you're a professional, yeah it kinds of is a big deal seeing that every image you see in print (magazine, book, newspaper, etc) is photoshopped to a point where its more computer graphics than it is actual photograph. so when you have a 39mp image, its alot easier to photoshop that wrinkle on some models forehead...

i still wouldnt pay that much for a camera tho, its i wanted to crop into something to see it better i'd just buy a long lens that can zoom in

No one pays that much for a camera. You rent them or the company you work for buys them.

i seen that cam a long time ago on bhphoto. its pretty amazing i must say though its not worth it if your application requires you to resize it anyway.
