i was thinking of making a integrated headset by cutting the headtube at the point where it starts to slant and replace it with a integrated

much smoother and probably easier to maintain

not if ur using threadless forks, if ur worring about the threads bottoming out

i think he means the part of the headtube where the bearings sit will bend because aluminium is soft and internal headsets take more strain

Cause the ultralite has an integrated headset and it's wider than stock headsets...
