How to install an FSA DH PRO headset
tools needed:
-maybe a hammer and a piece of wood
-a 6inch long bolt and washers that are bigger then the head set at least 2
if you dont have a bolt a vice will also work
-2 wrenches on some sort to tighten the bolt
-maybe something for leverage
step 1:
get your head tube with no head set cups in it.
step 2:
get your bottom cup to the FSA the one that says FSA on it. (its the bigger one of the 2) grab you bolt making sure there is a washer on it put the cup on to the bolt with the skiny end not facing the bolt. next put the bolt through the head tube making sure the bottom of the headtube is on the cup. then put the other washer on the bolt followed by the nut. then tighten till it is all the way in. sorry my FSA is in my head tube so i used a stock headset for this part.
ok when using the vice for this its basically the same you just take the head tube and put in between the vice with one cup in the end i said to put it in and tighten till it is all the way in then repeat this for the other side
then take the bolt out and repeat with the top cup. once done should look like this.
step 3:
take your fork and carfully hammer the bottom bearing race on it should be on like this. (make sure its all the way on)
step 4:
slide the fork tube through the head tube.
step 5:
then slide the top bearing on to the fork tube and in to the cup. (make sure the part on the out side of the bearing thats angled in is down)
step 6:
slide the gold race/ compression piece on to the fork tube. (make sure the part that is angled in is down) thould look like this if right.
step 7:
slide the cap on to the fork tube making sure the side that says DH PRO is on top.
if you have a threadles fork you are done here. if you have threaded take the top nut to the stock headset and put that screw that on. ( make sure the part that is angled in is facing down) tighten that bolt down and that will ajust how tight your headset is.
that is how to install an FSA sealed headset.
any comments? ill make a video if needed
