Headset lube

So, my dad bought some pb50 blaster all purpose lubricant. Can I lube my headset with it? Will it stay lubed?

Because some lubes aren't as good as others. For example, i've heard alot of bad things about lubing stuff up on your scooter with WD-40.

Use KY jelly or SILK personal lubericant, they worked wonders for my girlfriend and i, maybe they will help you and your headset out

Anything oily will work. If you use something to thick it can freeze up in the cold and use something too runny it will pretty much just run out. If your super dooper stuck for something to use use vaseline.

It should work as long as it's some sort of a lubricant. Wd-40 isn't a lubricant, it's a penetrant. The only time it will hurt your scooter is if you spray it on something with lube/grease on it already without cleaning it. The Wd-40 will practically eat through your grease/lube whilst attracting dirt and stickiness. If you use it alone your scooter will be fine, even though your BB's and cups will wear pretty quickly because it doesn't protect parts that great.

I once ran an unsealed headset on Zippo lighter fluid for about a month :/

I just cleaned and lubed my headset yesterday, I cleaned it with brake cleaner and lubed it with like, EHS Lube or something, got it out of my dads van aha, hydraulics worker ftw, it's like, perfect, not too thick and not too thin, so, if you can get some of it, yeah, use it, aha.

WD-40 is a solvent, not a lubricant. Its supposed to break up grease and grit.

When I clean my headset, I spay the bearings with WD-40, spin them, so the WD-40 works through the dirt, and then I wipe out all of the WD-40. Then grease them. NEVER try to use just WD-40, but its alright for cleaning bearings.
