Headset lubes.

Yeah well i dont have enough money for a bmx headset atm so im stuck with a stock for a possible long time.

Anyway, ive cleaned my headset with thinners, soaked them with it etc. (thinners is damn strong, people who use it will know what im on about).
Done pretty much what the rocket bearings thread thing says.
Once id done soaking/cleaning, id put some all round grease in, and my headset will still be ----- un-smooth and slow. (I fiddled for ages to find the best possible spot).

So im pretty much asking what everyone uses in there headset and what you think works best.

making sure ur headset cups are in dead straight makes it spin alot better so check that

well i saw this posted a while back. so i did it and it worked.
1. Ok you knock out your top cup and put a second bottom cup in where the top cup would go.
2. Then you get nail polish remover on a rag and clean up your cups and bearings.
3. Then you get your nut with the dust cap on it and hammer the dust cap off.
4. After that put the bearings in and i use an automotive waterproof marine based grease and put grease in your bearing cups and on your bearings.
5. Then put the nut on (that used to have the dust cap on).
6. Then if you have headset spacers put on of them on then your top locknut.
7. Tighten everything up a little bit then get the bottom locknut tightened just right so that it doesn't wobble and spins good.
8. Then tighten the top one real tight without letting the bottom one move. So now its really tight and wont come loose and it should spin really good.

Because u put a second bottom cup on top so you need to take it off to fit it in the cup snug. But i dont know how it makes it quicker it just does by a shitload.
