is there any way you can make a threaded unsealed headset smoother?thanks

Use locktite on the locknut at just the right tightening point.

what is locktite?

It's a glue like thing for bolts and such and you can get it from a hardware store.

 

[Rob.]

make sure its blue locktite. Red locktite is almost impossible to get off.
