Headset tightening problems

Okay this happened to me:

Alright. To start off i want to say i did search this before and not a lot came up. So you know the piece just above the headset those 2 rather large bolts and one covers over the headset ? Yeah im having problems with the one that covers over the headset because as i can see it is warped after a hard days ride. I would just buck up and deal with it but i have to constantly adjusted and this is really getting to me because i just got my pro a week ago.

So i after i figured out that the headset tightener was bent inward therefore rubbing. So this thread isnt pointless if youre headset seems to get tight you might want to check youre metal headset tightner and if it is bent than take it off and un bend it carefully. Just some advice for new guys like myself !

But then wont my headset be like unprotected or something dumb like that lol ?

If its a metal one theres nothing you can do about it. If its a plastic one just take it off. Its a dust guard but headsets usually spin faster without them.

Okay well i took her off and found out she was bent a little so i unbent it and now shes working a lot better, And so this thread isnt pointless i think im going to turn it into a check youre headset (metal) tightener if youre headset seems tight.
