Just a little discovery I made over the weekend that may help other riders who are looking to ease their compression woes.
After being plagued by wobbly headsets for quite awhile I had tried
-new headsets
-new compression
-new bolts
-lock tight
- 100s of various tightening methods and installation rituals
-longer bolts
-headset spacers
The big one that solved the problem was hammering in a new star nut and closing up that half inch gap between where my star nut used to sit and the top of the forktube.
Just thought I'd share.
