headtubes/forks.

ok, ive hit a huge problem, and i have no idea what to do haha. i just re-enforced my fork, and then i screw on the two bolts that tighten it down, and then when i start to screw my headtube on, it goes decent until it gets about half an inch away from the bolts on the thread, and then it just wont go any farther, it turns.... but it wont go any farther down on the threads. any ideas? and also, im really considering SR forks, but i want to hear what some of you have to say about them first, so how are those and how hard was it to get on? thanks.

depending on how far up your fork reinforcement goes up, you bars inside your headtube could be hitting it. if the reinforcement sticks out above the fork threads, its probably this problem. if this is the problem, either cut your ttube or cut your fork reinforcement.

If the bars go all the way down onto the forks it should be good, but go ahead and make sure the reinforcement isn't sticking out much like Jeff said.

I love SR forks, I think they're great. I didn't put the star nut in, a bike shop did, so I don't know how hard it would be.

I would just push it down, I used to have to do that and its defiantly not good but yeah haha, it works.
