HELP!!! clicking sound!

hi guys,

my scooter is 4 days old, i am running a district v2i deck, blazer forks, phoenix scs and a blunt headset.

over the last few days there has been a loud clicking sound coming from the headset whenever i turn the bars 90 degrees. sometimes it goes away for a minute but it is usually there. i have no idea what it could be but i dont think it is grit stuck in it because it is a very mechanical sounding click.

any ideas as to what it could be would be greatly appreciated. thanks

happens to some headsets when theyre new.

Pull the fork out and see if it is bent

and/or the headset may need to be broken in.

well the fork tube is fine, and the headset was fine for the first couple of days so i dont think i needs to be broken in.

it hasnt happened with the one i have now. it happened with 3 of my fsa orbit mx's

the weird thing is, every time i take my scooter apart and then put it together again the clicking stops for about 2 hours, then it starts again

anyway, i will probably take it to my local shop and see what they say because it is soooooo annoying

Buy some 3-in-1 oil and lubricate your headset with it.

a well lubed headset is a happy headset. Once you break it in life just becomes better.

My Envy headset (Blunt for you) is doing it as well.
I'll put some marine grease on it and see how it goes. Mine is only a few days old as well and it's integrated.

every single person i know with a blunt/envy headset, it does that. just get over it, itll go away after a while

lube it and ride it, it'll eventually stop

well, to all those with a blunt/envy headset, it may be worth taking it to a bike shop or somewhere like that because i took mine and i was told that it was faulty and needed to be replaced. i now have a district headset and that works fine. so don't just leave it, it may fix itself or maybe it's faulty. thanks to everyone who answered though.

this. exact same thing happened to my friends (hes got a blunt). the noise has stopped now

blunt headset is your problem, i don't think i've seen someone with one that doesn't creek

Just use is amd wear the headset in. It happened to my v2i and my friends.
