Help, HIC Shim stuck in bars.

I was riding today and my HIC Shim randomly decided to get stuck in my bars how do I get them out.

Take a coat hanger and bend a little hook thing on one end, then stick it up the bars and catch it on the hic shim and pull it as hard as you can.

If it was thicker it might work.

I bet it will work, I wouldv'e tryed it but my bolt never comes loose so i dont have that problem.

Are these iHIC Phoenix bars? If so, you can use the penny trick to expand your bars and let the shim fall out.

If not, try *CAREFULLY* inserting a flat head screwdriver into your bars' slit and twist the screw driver to try to expand the bars enough to pull the shim out.

Coat hangers are too soft

You need a Bike spoke that already has a bend in it or the Penny trick

Might as well pick up a Pick and Hook set so if it happens again you can get it out.

Home Depot/ Lowes might have a set also
