Help. How do you load footy from a gs320 though a usb on a laptop

i'm having a problem catpuring footy from my camera though usb to my laptop.

My laptop has a different firewire so my old cord doesnt work.

so when i go i plugged in my camera and turned it on then switched it to the pc mode and when i go to upload footy to WMM it says the camera isnt connected

please help

1.) Put it on playback mode not PC mode.
2.) Turn your camera on.
3.) Go to WMM and go to file- capture video
4.) Follow the steps
5.) Upload!

ive got a firewire cord im pretty sure is for laptop. the end that goes into the camera is the same that goes to the computer? idk ive had it forever because my mom bought the wrong one. it sat on ebay for a week with $.99 starting bid and no one did anything with it haha.

4 pin to 4 pin, i got mine for $.01 and a dollar shipping on ebay 3 years ago, still works today

I'm almost positive it has a firewire port. It should be right above the usb port.

Sony calls their firewire stuff i.Link i think. If its not that its firewire, ieee1394, or dv out.
