I'll try not to sound like a noob.

I broke my NX fork last night, and I have only rode threaded forks. I want to get a threadless fork idk what kind yet prob inward or proto. But the issue is I sort of understand how inward and proto inverted compression works but its only confusing cuz ive never installed or ridden one.

Does the starnut go into the bars or fork???

I know its a bad question but i switch my bars alot cuz i have 2 sets, one small and one big. So plz reply and lock.

inverted starnut goes in your bars
scs goes in your fork
if you have two bars just get another starnut from a bike shop
and install starnuts past the slit in your bars

um with ics the starnut goes into the bars. With inwards there is a spacer welded at the bottom, but on proto strickers you need a washer or the proto ics kit which comes with a washer. and the bolt goes up through the fork and threads into the starnut which compresses the headset.

thanks guys, so if i got ics i could just have a starnut in each of my bars and it would be fairly easy to switch bars??
