help please

i got some buffs from some one on here and i reveived them today. i whent to go put my clamps on and they dont fit over the bar.they fit perfect over my stock bars though. they dont have slits either. im not so sure how im gonna get the clamp on. can someone please help thanks.

I got myself banned.
No slits? Did you order them for to be SCS compatible? If so, you have the wrong size bars. They aren't fitting because there are no slits since they are ment to go into SCS. Review your order, if you said NO to SCS COMPATIBLE, then they made an error, contact Andrew and ask for a new bar. If you didn't order them for SCS, they come with a clamp, razor clamps need to be stretched to fit.

ok you got the buffs for an scs thats why there is no slit so you will have to get a threadless fork and headset and some brass knuckles or you can use them but i imagine you might be able to just cut your own slit and the clamp you just have to stretch it put your bolts in on the opposite sides and use a penny to put in between the clamp and the bolt now just tighten the bolts until it fits and you have a stretched clamp there you go hope this helps

alright thanks. i think i might just skipp all of this trouble and just buy a brand new Steering Column from the sr store. does any one now if they come with slits so that they will fit on my stock forks and headset?

If you are buying a new bar, make sure you choose NOT SCS compatible, there will be slits in it than.

But you really don't need to waste the money, just saw out a slit, and stretch your razor clamp open more, save yourself some money.

yeah true that i would like to just do it myself. a couple of questions.

if im holding the bars upside down and start cutting the slits about how for down should i cut?

and if i do put the bolts in the oppisite way and then put a penny in the middle to stretch it would it work for a single clamp because i have 2 singles rather then a double clamp?
