Help please

I have a threaded fork with a fsa pig headset, i want to take the fork off but the headset ring won't let me, i know u can hammer the top of the fork but that will ruin the threads, is there anyway i can remove the fork without hurting it, can i please get serious answers from u guys

okay i had this problem litterally like a day ago. i just got a tiny screwdriver and stuck it in the little gap that the headset ring has and i held my forks still so they wouldn't move and then i took a hammer and put the small screwdriver in the gap and hammered it (like making the ring screw off) and then after hitting it about 8 times i was able to pull the ring off and get my forks off. but the bad thing is, i hammered my forks and fucked my threads before i did this and they diddn't come off, but luckily i snaded them down and cut off like 1cm from my forks and they work very legit now. hope this helps bro.
