ok i have a panasonic PV-GS31 video camera and it will not work with my comp any sugestions like i duno i plugg it in with a usb should i use a firewire does it need to be a firewire i just dont really no what im doin and the book or the panasonic website dosent help at all plz help me out cuz i wanna make a mini vid o yea 1 more thing it will let me get the pics off it but not the vid whats up with that?

Get a firewire. I don't know much about usb capturing, but you won't get your cameras picture at full quality when you use it. Just get a firewire, and a fireward card if don't have one, its totally worth it.

Yes buy a firewire PCI card for your computer and either use movie maker or some other software to capture your footage. It will work. USB is terrible for capturing.
