***Help quickly please***

I went to cash converters today and saw about 8 old Pentax Film SLR bodys and I saw a Sigma 17-80mm lens on one, i'm getting a Pentax K-X and was wondering if anyone knew if it would fit on it?
Because Pentax say that the K-X have a special mount that fit every old Pentax lens ever made before, so would it fit ?
