help with comp

well i know this is not the are to talk about computers but it does have to do with filming and such.

im trying to get a new comp for christmas and all i need is cheap comp with nothing special just good memory (512mb+) and a fast processer (like high 2000-3000-ish range) and a good firewire capture card. anyone know of anywhere i get something like that from a trustworthy source. thanks

Well, if you know how, you can build a banggggin setup on http://newegg.com/ for cheap (like you can get good parts, not top of the line but close to it) and im talking like only $500 for a really nice computer except thats with out a monitor.

where i got my current setup. its amazing but was like 1600 before shipping. i was also looking at newegg when i bought this but tigerdirect was the way to go for me. shop around though prices are always changing wherever you look.
