Help with decks

I have a threshold and it feels heavy to me so I think I'm going to make a lighter scooter. I'm not really a weight freak I just can't do my tricks right with a heavier deck. So I want a cheap deck (under $120) that is light. So I was thinking either a district standard or integrated, razor ultra pro, a Phoenix 4.0 standard, or another good but light and cheap deck. So tell me what u think.

thresholds arent even heavy.
they're only a few ounces heavier than a v2i.
how long have you had the threshold?

it might be your bars.
and your setup looks pretty new. try ridding it for a few more weeks, and you'll get used to it.

Well I think it's the deck cause I could finger whip on a lighter 4.0 deck but on the thresh when I hit it it spins so slow and my headset is good.

It's definatley not your deck, I have a threshold v2 and I can almost whip rewind flat on it. What threshold do you have? 20, 20.6 or 21" length can make a difference in whip speed. Also try and get some lighter bars, inwards are like some of the heaviest out there haha. If you want light bars go with District AL-3s or fasen spiral bars

I have the same problem with my theshold. Im gonna try out a lighter bar! Or mabey a lighter deck like addict or ethic. Its all about the balance or weight point on it. I consider myself a flow rider so i do a lot of tricks flat

Flowing is more like park stuff, like just airing as high as you can and throwing tucks, inverts and turndowns. Serjey Noga is a good example of a flow rider.

Heavy bars have absolutely no effect on how the deck whips, which is what the OP is having trouble with. If he buys new bars, nothing will be different. He just isn't used to how his deck whips.

OP, I'd suggest just riding the deck for a solid few weeks. Different decks are weighted differently and it's really not as much about the physical weight of the deck as it is the balance of the deck that will effect how it whips. Your muscle memory is still fixed on how you old deck whipped, I think you'll be fine once you get used to the Threshold. BTW that setup is nice as ----- I wouldn't change a thing.

I've been riding this deck for like 2 months that picture was like a month ago. So I'm used to it and its not working. I think I've decided to keep my threshold and use it for like a flow scooter. Like if I kind of sore or something and can just go flow around the park and go cruising with it. But I think I'm going to get a aos v2 cause I used to have one of those like 6 months ago and I think Im more comfortable on it doing tricks.
