Help with first time scooter purchase

My 13 year old son wants a scooter to ride at the skatepark, where can I get him a good first scooter?

You shouldnt go for those super decked-out scooters at first. Start out with a Razor Pro Model Scooter (around $40) or a Razor ultra pro lo scooter (around $80). Once your son gets good and sticks with scootering, he will choose the parts he would want. Starting out with those will be a really good start. almost everyone here started out with a razor pro model.

we just picked up the Ultra Pro, thanks again guys for the help

Well ben, its cheaper, and i love all the specs about it. the ultra pro does come with bars, but imo the deck could be longer and the headtube can be 1 degree steeper.

It all comes down to personal preference. Anyways, we mitigated the occurance of a scooter kid once more! lol
