Help with Sony Vegas Movie Studio 9

I have been having some trouble with rendering and playing things back after rendering. The file sizes when I render it are like gynormous. (a 2 min. vid was like 3-4 gb) Any idea on why it is so big?

Also, when I render it, what is the best quality I can render it to without making it glitchy and stuff. I rendered my video to 1080i/60i and it would play on my computer in like slo-mo, and would not play smoothly once.

Any suggestions or help on fixing any of my problems? especially the first one because i can't upload such big files to any site. !sad

alright http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6vayltVepDw blah blah blah good HD renders haha. this is a good for an HD render if you dont want HD just tell me and ill go back and tell you what i use to render my vids.

my vids are widescreen to fit the youtube box and its greattt quality.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-fOkhrJYUA heres an example of the render i use. i use a jvc everio camera and get pretty good quality out of it with this render soo if you have a really nice camera then this render will give you pretty amazing quality

well i just figured out how to render my video in regular quality with a custom template. i couldn't use hd. it's too big of a file size to upload on vimeo. so i just put it in wmv. at 3 mbps. how did you do render yours in standard def?

but this last video i rendered was in sd. but the next one will be in hd. im getting a high def jvc everio :)
