I can land them good now, but only when i go at a good speed and i have my bars right up as high as i can cos otherwise my bars get in the way of my right knee and i cant bring it up high

I dunno if it's just me but my whips seem more in my wrists and I dont even jump high to do em. I kick with alotta ankle power and finish it with the wrists. I was frustrated at tailwhips for months until one day something clicked and I pulled like 5 in a row compared to the usual 1/10. Now it's easy. Just keep practicing, that's the most important thing when learning the tricks on flat.

Now that i learned how to, if anyone else who is having trouble doing tailwhips heres wat i do, i jump, kick with both my feet a little using my ankles, i jump way out to the side and jump as high as i can and flick it around with my wrists

ummm...
okay kiddies, lets stop being sissies and stay on task.

when i whip. i jump pretty high, lift my knees a little bit, and ONLY use my ankles to kick the deck a little bit and use my arms for the rest of the trick. to make it spin around, you dont move your arms around in a circle, depending on if youre a righty or a lefty, one handgoes up and the other goes down to make your handlebars at about a 60 degree angle or so (im just guesstimating).
then you switch it up. if youre a drummer like me. the motion is a lot like beating the crap out of a tom or a snare with your fists facing forward. apparently that is called an eggbeater. but whatevs

hopefully that made some kind of sense..
