HIC SHIM quistion

Ok im switching to HIC and i wanted to know if i just cut 2 inches off rup bars and make 2 slits on each side would it work as a HIC shim,cause i have everything except a shim.Or if not where i can buy just the shim

it works as the bar shim, you ptu the top cap over top it, and the basr over the shim. you dotn need a clamp shim, since the bars are oversized

however tall it needs to be to be atleast 1/4in above the top of the headtube

The shim should be a quarter inch ABOVE your forktube, not your headtube!

Cutting i think 2.5 inches off of a pair of RUP bars, and cutting a slit in them would work.

yep it'll work. i just cut the bottom off so i didnt need to cut a slit. my cuts crooked, and it still works

Whatever height is a half inch above your forktube.
