History of European Motocross

Motocross developed as a type of motorcycle or off road racing sports, which took place on off-road tracks including muddy, hilly, soft or rocky road. It was at the beginning of the twentieth century, that sport has its origin in the UK. Known as ' ' motocross Scrambles, Word was derived from a combination of the French word motocyclette means motorcycle ' ' cross-country. Since then, the sport has gained in popularity, and grew as motocross.

The first known motocross event was held in 1924 in Camberly, Surrey, and was called the southern Scott scramble. This is the event that led to the initiation of motocross in the sports world. After this incident, began throwing to become quite a rage with sporting events and this fad continued of the 1920s and 30s. Motocross racing spread wildly as a very popular sporting event in all of Europe in the years to follow.
