Hmmm, can't tighten District V2 rear axle?

What gives? Anyone have ideas? Got a standard District V2 and no matter how tight the rear axle is tightened...the wheel feels loose. And I got that sucker pretty tight a ratchet, so don't tell me to tighten harder. lol.

Anyone ran into this? Could it be the rubber pieces... or is this unheard of?

When you take off the wheel. Do your bearings fall out. Shake it and check. If they do. Clean your wheel are outside of the bearings and put tape around your bearings and hammer them in or compress them in

If not, Take off the bearing seal and get thick grease like gel. And put some in your bearings. And put it together.

The back axles on district v2's are just utter shit to begin with, mine came broken, just go to your local hardware store and buy a "5/16 x 3.5in" back axle and the problem is solved

It could be stripped... Go to your local hardware store and grab a new bolt and nut.

Not stripped, brand new axle and she tightens really good, but the wheel stays loose. Like the wheel spacers were machined just slightly too small. Just a lil side to side wobble. And bearings do not fall out of the wheel, they are in snugly.

If I were you, I'd go with a new back axle. I used to have a problem like this with my old ultra pro axle.. Then I got a new axle from Inward-scooters and it's much more dialed and easier to tighten imo

I cannot see how a new axle will fix this as mine tightens firmly. It has to be a malfunction with either the deck spacing, axle spacing, or the rubber pieces messing with the equation. I am slightly stumped on how this would happen with a new deck unless tolerances are seriously that off during production.

i had THE SAME exact problem, you back axle is just a tad bit too long, dont try to tighten it any more, it will snap and you'll be SOL. just put a washer on the outside of the axle to give it some space and you will be all set

I want to say bravo. I should've thought of that, that was definitely the problem! Just put on a couple washers and she tightened up fine. Thanks!

i had that issue too. the axle is a bit long. but then i got a grade 8 bolt and nylon lock nut and she stays firm.

I have the same problem and I use one washer on the outside, I'll give 2 a try.
