That's pretty sick. My friend Brucie who I play with at my local rink is suppose to be moving to Portugal soon as well to play with them. I think he's going to be playing with Team USA I'm not too sure. I've played ice since I was like 8 but since I graduated I've been playing roller hockey ever since. IMO roller is just as fun as ice, maybe because I'm 10x better at roller haha.

Inline is nice because it's a lot cheaper to play than ice. Equipment is cheaper as well because you're wearing pretty much just gloves, helmet, shin guards and elbow pads. And what kind of skates were they? I've never seen a pair of skates go for over 1 grand. The Bauer Vapor APXR inline hockey skates are close to 900 but still.

A good ice hockey stick is over $200. Even though i dont find a difference between the apx and the x:60. Like ive been using a 77 flex apx for like a year and switched to a 67 x:60 becuase i like to flex when i shoot

Yeah the APX is pretty expensive, almost up to 300. I picked up my Easton S17 85 flex Iginla curve cheap 2 years ago for like a little over 100, I was pretty pumped. I always have stuck with Easton and would love to try out the RS but it's too expensive for me right now.
