Just tried this with a candle and crayons. Waiting for it to harden. I hope it works.

Waiting for my first batch to cool and harden. I used 3 different types of candle for hard wax and bar soap and an oil based candle for soft wax. I hope it turns out well. Ill post pics when its done.

Don't use soap. It stayed soft and I had to scrape it all out of the wax. Still turned out nice though;

bar soap is good for soft wax

not to melt with wax lol. but a bar of ivory soap is really nice to fill in bigger cracks before you wax.

i made one with a soft candle and i put in like 2 tablespoons of oil in and it was terrible hahahah btw i put no butter in

I used to do alot wax making back in the day. its a good idea. Overtime you will figure out some better ingredients to use to make wax for different terrain. Concrete/metal, etc...
