How did you meet? Any "small world" stories

When i started scootin about 2 or so years ago, i had those shit new a's and i only got them cus i couldnt find the B1 model scooter. so i went on ebay and (seeing as how stupid i am, i didnt wait till the last minute to bid, i kept out bidding my competitor). they quit and this other kid started bidding against me. i went on to telling this bidder that if they were only getting it to sell it again, etc...to just let me get it cus im actually going to use it. well this person said they would let me have it because they had such a large collection of scooters that he really didnt need it. turns out, i started talkin to this person on AIM about scootin etc...who was it but John Radtke. Now i talk to him often and id say were good friends lol !heart and he got me into some new shit as well (scootering wise) which is cool. !lol

sorry if there was a thread like this...im not quite sure if there was.

well center point lot of fights one best friend shane pipper. mesa no time just got jumped there.

a rainy day in september 2000 im bored get on my roller blades and ride down to this place where water builds up. i call it the wash. i was playing in the water on my rollerblades in the wash. then the rain stopped and i saw a mom two kids and a dog coming they were nice and started talking to me i went back to their house and hung out with the oldest kid nathan(higgi) he was a year younger than me. we found out we were both fans of baseball. plus, we had a lot of the same video game intrests. and we rode bikes at the jumps.

Edit: we jumped bikes at this dirt lot filled with jumps then it got tore down. ~:(

then we found his scooter rode it found it fun then started hard-core riding and now here we are. !lol :D !lol :D

Well when i went into Middle School i met some kid name mike burns, and he lives about 2 mins away from me, and we started hangin out sleepin over each others houses and what not, and i went over his house one day and he had a lil box jump, and when i was in 6 grade liek the first week i never rode a ramp before. So i learned double whips off that and stuff, and one day there like "Yo you should play a game of 'scooter' with my one friend kevin". So i was like ok whatever. Next day i met up with mike and kevin and kevins ankle hurted so we didnt play, months went by and we started hangin out (me and kevin) and scootering together. Went to teh park a few times and all that jazz, and one day like everyother day we went scootering up the street from me at this place called the morch and the usual skaters where there and these skaters rode with a kid name John. And this kid John and Kevin played scoot, now i look back i dont think they finish the game, but to finish things off me and ekvin started scootering with these skaters alot for more people to hang with and ride with at the same time, and john always came. So this kid kevin and I went to the same school and started hangin out and scootering since now and this kid name is kevin vannauker, and to this day we tell each other if it wasnt for eachother we would of still never rode a scooter. Also john kept scootering and then he got really good and then all a sudden he quit and ate alot and plays x box 360. We see him sometimes well only at his work and he quit his work, Hey who knows he worked till he got enough money to buy somjething for his video game systems. His sister got him a controller and his mom got him the x box 360 and a vibrating chair for his birthday. Well im glad i ride a scooter and thank u kevin (and allen getts) for kepping me ridin a scooter. O yea this kid john is john mattes.

I got myself banned.
I knew Tim, Casey, Sean from gradeschool. Met Tom riding on his street with his friend, he got into scootering. When xgames decided to let scooters in Tim and Casey met Mike Mcgowan and we started riding with him and we met John Mattes at the park too. Found Jesse through here, than through Jesse i met Chris Bartnicki and Steve Wilson and everyone that rides TIC. Pretty sweet.

Dan pretty much everyone from the old SR knows who John is on here.

ive met heaps of riders through R.. i couldnt believe that when i came on this site that
1. there were so many riders in australia
2. that they lived so close to me,

so becos of SR im still riding now

Lol jk !heart :D It wasent really even like this it was just a story I said about.

Theres millions of stories I have now...
But today I met yet another person that knows Codie!!! (Blah I think I spelled it wrong) Your world famious :O :p So crazy. Thats 7 people that I have met that have met Codie at some point haha.

some of you might remember derrick barber, the one with the long middle finger, well anyways, he scootered a little bit and could do tailwhips, and thats about it. and him and levon used to be good friends so he got levon into riding a little bit, and so i was in st albans with brandon marchant and levon happened to be there with his scooter, so we rode together and he got double whips off this ledge in like his first week of riding, since then weve ridden together and i cant speak for him, but i think if we didnt meet in st albans that one day he probably would have stopped riding

i guess you could consider the josh smith thing a small world type thing, went to talent one day and he asked me if i knew josh silverman and i was like yea and he said he used to ride with him and stuff but quit for biking or something. i think thats pretty interesting. he could clear teh box pretty easily and hes cool.

before me and greg ever knew about nbs or anything, we were scooting at this park in NYC, we're from middle long island.

luckily, jon reyes decided to go to that park on that same exact day, and it was the first time we ever met anothe rkid that rides scoots, and he told us about nbs and soforth.

Check out the end of Dans paragraph... he plays alot of xbox360 now and dosn't scooter. I auctually IMed him the other day and told him when i go up to his neighborhood to ride street with Dan were picking him up and he got all whiney at me

Im siting here on the laptop watching Fuel (the TV chanel I won my BMX bike off ) And they had an advertisement for a show on their channel (the show s called Kore) and for the intro they have a guy hoping over a garden and landing on a seat with 1 foot then falling on the ground. That place is close to my house... In a place called " Surfers Paradice ".

There was another story I will post if I can think of it...Blah its really good aswell.

ok so I go to a small private school in Rhode Island, and one day I was riding at school and my friend kyle boston was like, "you scooter? my cousin is like insane at scootering!" i kinda shrugged it off, but when when he said his cousin lived in philly, it hit me: of course! Brian Boston must be his cousin! Then i explained that i know who he is because of this site. its such a crazy coincidence.

while on vacation in disneyland, i was telling my dad "i would love to ride my scooter here" and some kid overheard me and says with an austrailian accent, "you scooter? ever heard of Coedie Donovan?" and i was like, "Yea!" and he says that he was at that demo. the one where coedie was tryin the frontflips outta the quarter and briflipped the huge box. yea we talked for like 10 minutes then he had to go. but it was crazy!
