really want to paint the bars but dont want them to chip
J Jason Griffiths Bronze member Jun 11, 2009 #2 Make sure you do a few coats of primer, then a few of the color, and then make sure you use clear coat. Paint is going to chip though. You're going to fall and your scooter is going to hit the ground so don't stress too much over it.
