How do you change a headset locknut?

Just got a new SHQ one and I can't get the existing one on my Ultra Pro off, please someone help

do you have 2 locknuts or just one locknut on it?

i clamped my fork in a vise and took a pipe wrench to the locknut.

make sure you don't clamp your fork so that it pushes the legs together b/c that will fuk it up
