How do you determine your bar height?

5'5"---5'6" on a good day.

Started riding 17" stock, moved to 18.5"x15" BUFFS, moved to 20"x16" one piece SR gusset bars, currently riding 21"x18" one piece team bars.

Taller bars are more comfortable and wider bars are more stable but most people right now are riding way too short and way too narrow. The key to riding taller/wider bars is increasing your headtube angle (making it really steep). I think the trend is slowly catching on but a lot of people still don't understand the concept. The steeper your bars are allows you to ride higher (more comfortably/naturally) without effecting your center of balance and the more forward your bars are allows you to ride wider bars (more stable) without knocking yourself off the back of the deck when you do barspins. Taller/wider bars are more desirable and that is a fact. You just have to get used to riding steeper headtubes to compensate for the larger bars. Everytime I go taller or wider I never even consider going back. I think for now 21"x18" is perfect for me though.

IF IT FEELS COMFORTABLE THEN IT IS GOOD

dont let others tell you how to ride
Just because it feels good to you doesn't mean you shouldn't try something different or you have nothing to compare it too. I used to think 17"x13" was the best thing ever at the time but looking back on it I don't know how I ever rode that. If you aren't open to suggestions you could be missing out on something better. Plus, one size height and width on an 79 degree headtube will feel completely different than the same size height and width on an 83 degree headtube and any angle in between. There is a lot more than just height and width that go into making a "comfortable" scooter.
