How do you do a good job spraypainting?

for all you graffiti kings out there, i need to know if you guys have any techniques or certain ways you are supposed to spray paint like buff bars, because last time i did it it dripped, and looked horrible.

sandpaper first, then laquer it raw. then spray about 2-4layers of normal spray sanding in between each one, then laquer about twice, thats how i do mine and it comes out amazing never chips.

Dripping is the result of inproper priming and spraying too close.

Read the instructions on the can, they're suited to the pressure in the can, then hold the can the amount away it says. Also do it in coats, at least 2 primer, 1-4 main coat, and at least 2 laquer...

It's quite simple tbh.

@JonDogg: paint ontop of laquer? random, i've not tried that yet.

Let dry for 24 hours.
Clear coat again 4 times, a week later too.

Do all those steps in 45-60 minute intervals.

clear coat/ primer after spraying make sure you are about 30cm away from the thing you are spraying or you will get horrible blobs. also wipe the thing you are spraying first so they are no bumps.

old tutorial I made for bikes:

- Get yourself some spraypaint. You'll need a baselayer, color and varnish/clearcoat.

- Get some sandpaper. You'll need grid 400 and 600.

- Pull your bike apart

- Sand it roughly with 400. Make shure you get everey corner. After that
you'll do it once more with 600.

- then put un the baselayer. Its better to put on 2 baselayers
to get out any of the inperfections of the former paint
If you get zinkspray it will be dry in like 10 seconds
and you can start right off with the color.

- spray 3 thin layers of colourpaint.

- let it dry a bit, so get yourself a nice beer.

- then get the clearcoat and spray 2 layers on it as an extra shiny thing.
If you have a flat color you'll need heat-resistant clearcoat.
So your color will stay flat.

- let it dry for something like 24 ours. Or what the manual says.

- then put your bike back together and show off!
