How do YOU support the scootering scene?

I help organize the longest-running annual competition @ Xtreme Wheels.
I used to do POTW/COTW, and will probably be getting back into it.
I travel to competitions around the country (and one in Canada), to throw down my entry fee for a prize and increase the turnout and overall success of an event. Plus, it's the most fun going on scooter trips.
I moderate this website whenever possible, trying to keep good information here, and bad information out.
But yeah, I think just knowing where I've seen the sport come in just 5 years keeps me at a good vantage point to watch it continue to grow.

I promote companies whenever I can. I love talking about the break throughs in the sport (like josh kish's front flair, sd4, etc.) I fix little kids scooters all the time but ive only gaven away parts once. I throw down my hardest at new parks and prove to them this isnt a kids sport.

i hate flips no matter how or where you do them so yeah i just do hella long hang 5s or super can whips

i try to help some kids with their tricks, i try being nice to the locals so i dont give scooter riders bad names.

ride pegs,everyones like dude! can you grind on those and ill be like yup,and then i have this long conversation with the person about scooters
there like three scooterers in my town and i got both of them to start ridin one just bought a scooter (the first one hes acully gonna use) and got all these after market parts and all i have are grippers and grips and bolt but thats fine with me so his scooter will attract a crowd and get it started in my town

I don't ride as much as i used to, but over here in Scotland, scootering is still very much a growin sport, eg im the only person i know who rides, in the country.
I travel around Glasgow going to different parks and street spots, travelling to these places some most people give me odd looks but when i go ride a stari set or some banks, people get really amazed, and usually ask a billion questions.
I try to answer them my best and occasionally let people have a shot, (although, some areas of glasgow are really sketcy, so letting people ride my £300 scooter isnt usually a good idea, as it will get stolen)
I repersent the sport as best as i can, and ill throw down tricks for people, and because of this, more kids are starting to scooter, when i got to parks kids know my name from word of mouth , these are kids who i've never even met. It feels great when stuff like that happens, but peoples first impressions of it are always "why you ridin a kids toy" or "why the fuck you riding a scooter" stuff like that, but as soon as people realise it is pretty narly, there all chilled with it.

You seem like a promoter and a representative, like myself. We are the kind of riders that sponsors should be looking to partner with. Its all about the love for the sport, the growth of the sport, and the growth of business.
More importantly, to me its about being a possitive influence. I like to support the scene with originality, personality, and true charactor. Its not about what you can do to be "cool" and accepted by the world. Its about leading people the right way.
