I got used to it in a day so here are some of the problems I had

S = split the clip
Hold Ctrl and Drag = Slow Mo or Fast Mo

if you do it that way, make sure to right click the audio part, and to to like "properties" or something... then check the box that says "lock to stretch". It sounds disgusting if you don't... especially if it's slowed down a lot.

Also, if you use slow mo that way vegas does it sort of weird, it looks for like "missing" frames between the ones you have, so if its reallllly slowed down it isn't choppy, but it gets more and more blurry.
