Threadless Forks and Compression
HIC or TIG Welded
One Piece Bars with slits working with Threadless forks
Headsets for threaded and threadless forks
Anything else for noobs.

Help appreciated since I've only started riding in March, only 3 months.

- Threaded forks use 2 nuts to compress. Threadless forks need a seperate compression system. The most common systems are ICS (Inverted Compression System), SCS (Standard Compression System) and HIC (Hidden Integrated Compression).
- MIG and TIG are 2 different types of welding with TIG being generally stronger and more desired. HIC has nothing to do with TIG.
- If you have slits on your bars and you are using a threadless fork you need to be running an ICS unless you opt for RAD bars which can be used with the HIC.
- If you ride a threadless fork you have to buy an 1-1/8" threadless headset.
