how to bend a flexy?

anyway
my 100mm brake is still stuck in my deck for a while until it snaps, got the new 110mm brake but cant take the 100mm one out of my deck

how can i bend the brake to fit 110 wheels?

these brakes seem reinforces or something, when i try to bend it, it gets harder to bend and stays how it is, im afraid i wont be able to bend it and it will snap off, and which i dont want it to

if this is impossible to do, how can i take the brake in my deck out?

The steel they use for Flexy brakes is Spring Steel- it is not supposed to bend, that's why you are having a hard time bending it-it wants to Spring back to its original shape/position.

I'm not familiar with the madd gear brake system so not much help getting it out but if the bolts that hold it to the deck are out then just smack it with a big hammer.

a mgp flexy looks exactly like a phoenix switch blade, but it has two holes side by side.

try taking out both of the bolts and try getting some sort of lubrication between the brake and the deck, then hit it out.

ill post a photo of what it looks like, both bolts are out, not sure on how after lubricating i have to hit it out.. tried prying it out and almost snapped my screwdriver

You have to take your brake out, here is my idea on how:

take a monkey/vice grip wrench thing (not sure if thats its real name, ill take a pic if you dont know what im talking about) and clamp it really tight on the brake. pull it out while wiggling the wrench up and down.

oh and lube the inside of the scooter so it comes out easier.

Hit the brake with a mallet as hard as possible. The actual curve of the brake, hit it outward. It shouldn't be that hard.

Alrighty then- looks like you scraped up the inside walls pretty good when you put it in and now the scraped up Aluminum is now a Lip, stopping the brake from sliding out.

Smack the crap out of the brake with a hammer and hope it busts loose or we ned to figger out a way to spread the deck open just enough to release the tension on the brake.

theres only a very thing and weak aluminium bit infront of the brake, easy to get through that. hammer it on the curve? wont the hammer just bounce off and not do anything lol

You can try using a Vice grip or some sort of wrench to grab the brake, then hitting it with a hammer. Not to sure if that'll work or not, just something that popped into my head.

tried this with wd-40 on the brake to help it move from the deck, only moved like 1cm haha

should i send my deck to madd or how else? :/

The amount of force it took to scrape up the deck walls to get that brake in there looks like quite a bit, it obviously didn't just slide right in.

I'll post a pic after school, but you could try putting dry ice on the brake, so is held by the U shaped mounting section of the brake (section that its stuck) and taking a steel blade that you don't mind damaging and attempting to cut away at the lip thingy the scraped aluminum created... But be REALLY careful not to cut yourself!

Are you clamping down the deck while you hit the brake?

You'll need to clamp down the deck good so it doesn't move at all.
Try using a Flat head screw driver- put it right where the brake starts to go under the deck, in front of the screw holes and smack the screw driver with a hammer.

You need to drive the brake out on the same horizontal plane as the deck.
