How to Bolt a Newer A style Folding Mech

well i have the newer A style foldy and i was determined to bolt it because the movement messes me up. I put the lowest bolt and the highest bolt in the same place you would on any scooter, but for the middle and farthest back bolt theres no hole right? well what i did was used a very small bit to find were to dril that was right next to the head arm (am i right on that head arm?) and when i found the spot i use a 1/4" in but to drill 2 holes that lined up. Now the trick is to put washers on all of your bolts on both sides, the head and nut side, because if you dont the bolts wont be tight and your bars will still move about an 1/8 - 1/4".

To this it you just do the same thing as you would a pro model, old A or B, but you just drill a hole for the middle bolt that sits behind the head arm. Make sure you don't hit your head tube because i did and made a slot in it, and i think thats why it move So to who say you cant lock a new a deck, you can.

What i used to do this
1 drill
1 Small metal drilling bit
1 1/4" or 3/8" (your choose) metal drilling bit
1 Match bolt, washers (2) and locking nut to the 1/4 or 3/8 bit
2 5/16 bolts, washers and locking nuts

UPDATE
ok i just had a quick session and it moved about an 1/8" after i took a hard fall trying to 180 to late whip on my bank. so basicly it works just after a day of riding you might want to re set it, but personally and 1/8" doesnt make a difference to me

it will move it doesnt matter what u do my one friend is a weenie and rides an a model and it he bolted and it moved after a while

im going to try to get either the hole old a deck from my friend or just swap folding mech things, the part that attachs the foldy to the deck

dude just do new a/b foldy if you cant get a pro or whatever get a pro foldy and bolt it on. new a/b foldys are --- sexy dude.

too bad new new as can't fit pro foldys.

its like searching for old as all over again.

i might either trade foldys or decks w/ my friend who has an old a, i just haven't talked to him about it yet. o ill try to get pics later

i will get a pro when i have $60 extra dollars lying around, but this scooter is great and serves me well

Sorry dude, this is a pointless mod. The New A foldy is super thin and will break very quickly. The new A headset also is prone to warping at the holes extremely quickly; thus the headset will keep getting looser and looser and looser and you'll have to tighten it more and more. You don't even need to drill to lock a new A, but you shouldn't even bother. Because the new A headset and foldy are both unsalvagable, especilaly if you weigh more than 120 pounds.

new a headsets work fine, idk what your talking about.

Well, i'm kinda fat, but even when I weighed less than I do now I easily ovalized both of the holes on my new a headset, making them wiggle all the time.
