How to make a homemade SCS?

I was thinking on ways to save money and go threadless, i saw a video with a guy using a quad clamp and a little bit of HIC.

You just answered your own question. Make sure you use a quad clamp that goes all the way around in the middle, not like an Envy clamp. Also, make sure the HIC shim doesn't go up further than half the height of the clamp.

that might have been my video yeahh it works fine when you do it but make sure you use the beefiest quad clamp you can find. and dont ride it TOO hard just to be safe

Don't get ics. It's a pain in the ass. Like everyone else has said just get a vertx scs.

beef clamps like swish and stuff are good but as your in cali you'd use another clamp. when you can though a real scs will be more reliable

no unless it was a phase 2 one i think like a phase two tripple clamp maybe, not sure though
