How to make bar extenders! (pics)

HERES MY TUTORIAL ON HOW TO MAKE YOUR VERY OWN BAR EXTENDERS..

>>>WHAT YOU WILL NEED:<<<


1) A DETACHABLE HANDLEBAR PIECE FROM A FOLDY SCOOTER

2) A WOODEN DOWEL THAT FITS INSIDE OF YOUR HANDLEBARS VERY TIGHTLY (I THINK THE SIZE WAS 1/2" OR SOMETHING)

3) A HAMMER, A WOOD SAW, AND A HACKSAW(FOR METAL)

>>>PROCEDURE:<<<

1) CUT YOUR STOCK RAZOR HANDLEBAR INTO TWO PIECES TO HOW FAR YOU WANT TO EXTEND YOUR BAR AND CUT TWO PIECES OF WOODEN DOWL IN THE EXACT SAME SIZE

2) HAMMER THE WOODEN DOWEL HALFWAY INTO YOUR BARS (HALF IN, HALF STICKING OUT)

3) HAMMER THE CUT PIECE OF RAZOR BARS OVER THE WOODEN DOWEL(YOU MIGHT HAVE TO SAND THE WOOD DOWN JUST SLIGHTLY)

YOU SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING LIKE THIS NOW:

FINISHED PRODUCT: 22" WIDE!

it stays very tight trust me.. doesnt budge even the slightest bit, ive been riding em th whole day

if the wood snaps or breaks, how might you get it out?

use a long rod or something thats metal and hammer them out i guess.. i wasnt really planning on how to get them out when i did this lmfao

Wood snaps, you just pound it into the middle of the bars, and you have slightly heavier bars. Or just pound it through if you have tbars.

or burn it and take the ash out
or drill a hole and use a cockscrew

instead of wood do u think u could use steel. it would be stronger

yeah steel+epoxy glue=strong enough (similar to how we reinforced razor forks back in time)

trust me its tight dude its not gonna come out or break.. i did a bar down a 8set and they were fine

You can buy them at any self respecting hardware store. Or a hobby shop.
