They give you better grip then griptape and they never wear out there pretty bad---

they're on the sides of the deck, so it doesn't really weaken it much

i usauly brake a deck in 1-2 months and the 1 i had deck pins in lasted just as long bit it did brake on the top pinsall the way accross

you can. but they would have to be closer to the middle of the deck

No, I've never seen someone snap the overhanging plates off their deck

No, it makes catching whips easier though.

Just be careful you don't put a pin by the drop outs. Mine cracked right to the pin after a small drop.

Where mine are in the pictures are really the best places to put them. That's where the least pressure is put on the deck.
