How to taper bars?

Anybody have any videos on how to taper bars? I have viper bars that are basically new and theyre too short for me so I want to taper them. My grandpa is a welder so he can weld them together I just need to know where to get the little piece of bar metal to weld to my bars, thanks. If you have done it before can you tell me where to get the little piece of bar that you weld to the bars. I have viper bars they are 4130 HIGH QUALITY CHROMOLY standard size bars.

just search 1 1/4 chromoly 4130 tubing.

You just need a Piece of 1-3/8" .065 4130 Tubing.

problemo is that most steel yards won't sell just a short piece of 4130 and they make you buy a 20' stick.

will the inner diameter of 1.245 fit over standard size bars? like razor ultra pro ones?
