to wear in your wheels you.

Get some rubber gloves, wrap about 4 on the wheel, put duct tape around the urethane, put your wheel on (it may be hard to get on), ride over some water for about an hour (locks in the urethane so it doesnt dehub as easy), take everything off the wheel and your ready to ride.

Another method is to soke your bearings in salt water for about 10 minutes. And then you take the covers off and let them dry out, put the covers back on and put them back in the water. Take the covers off and then pour pepper inside.

That method is used by Tyler Bonner

I think the person who asked the original question might have a legit point...since other sports (such as longboarding and inline skating) do have techniques in 'wearing-in' polyurethane wheels for best performance.

As an example, longboarders use tend to use this technique: http://www.longboardwheelsblog.com/...eps-to-breaking-in-your-brand-new-orangatangs

I think for scooters, the technique to 'break in' a wheel was to first use it in the front and then move it to the rear after riding it for a day or two. The bottom line is that it really depends on the manufacturer and the specific wheel. Even some of the Eagle brand wheels require this...

Someone already posted this topic on the forum in the past...unfortuantely, I can't seem to find it right now.

You forgot that after you put the pepper in you have to put super glue and sand in the bearings

thats only if you want them really fast. Most people only want their wheels going a bit slower than that haha.
