You could try a TSI Sledge, comes 5 wide and feels a lot lighter and more balanced than a Reventon. There will be a few decks coming out this year that will be 4.8 - 5 wide and fairly light. I'd get a Sledge though.

ethic lindowrm if you want something super light and balanced and good for whips, both decks are a fairly good choice, it's all based on preferance

They weigh more than Reventons lol. Plus its made by Maddgear, has retarded back dropouts and is too short for its width.

and? the fact that its made by MGP shouldnt be a reason not to buy it.

I can always lock in perfectly well on the new dropouts on literally every grind i do, so i dont exactly know what problems anyone else is on about with that.

how is the length too short for the width? there are 21"L sledges which are 5" wide, and apparently thats perfectly fine?

the weight is fine, what you're recommending him is 3.5lbs, and the MFX is 3.9lbs. thats just .4lbs which feels like literally no difference when you ride it.

The dropouts suck, why make a boxed deck designed for grinds but cut the dropouts away so much that you pretty much have to run pegs on it ?
Its heavy for its size, a TSI feels a lot more balanced and even though its a bigger deck it still weighs less, thats why Reventons feel weird because they're heavy for their size. I dont care how much a deck weighs but if hes sick of riding a Reventon because of the weight hes not gonna want to ride something heavier and smaller.
21 L feels short for 5 wide decks, maybe not to everyone but to people used to riding longer decks it does.

oh, so is that why MGP is one of the most popular brands that people buy these days? lol

i hate riding pegs, but i can literally lock into a feeble or whatever and grind for a bit without slipping out of it, so its perfectly fine to me.

if a Reventon he's on weighs 3.3lbs, he probably wont want to ride anything heavier than that either then?

the length x width is fine with so many people that ride it, so it shouldnt really be an issue.

I guess the deck you should get is the UrbanArtt Trial deck. Its new so its not overrated (yet).
20" long x 4.7" wide, 2.7lbs which is lighter than most decks out, flat sides and deck, closed front droputs, and its integrated. Looks really sick too.

Only little kids ride MGP lol.
5.25 x 22 Reventons weigh more than a Sledge, trust me I used to have a Reventon and the Stan sig sized ones are heavier.

Since the MFX, loads of bigger riders have gotten them so kids aren't as much the thing anymore.
Ive never tried a Stan sig, nor a 22" deck, but i'd reckon they're weighty anyway. Ive only tried my friends Jon Reyes sig and it feels alright.

it looks pretty nice imo, headtube itself is like a bmx one too, kewl
