I killed my Green Machines....

Today I was riding my green machine and it chunked out and stuff. So I take out the wheel, and once I take it out of the fork, the bearings fall out. So I switch my bearings to my other Green Machine wheel and they fall out too. Then I try the bearings on the stock wheel to make sure its not the bearings, but when I put them in the stock wheel there completely fine. Had anyone else had this problem?

Ovalized. GM's suck, seriously. I ordered 4 brand new and I broke 2 within a week, the urethane splits and chunks out all the time.

its the newer "made in usa" ones.
the older ones that dont say "made in usa" on them are really good.

its called ovalizing
yea it usually happens to alot of wheels after a while, but if u change ur bearing a lot it seems like it ovalises faster expecially gms. i remember it happening to me and the worst part is when u put it on ur fork and its all wobbly. it makes a crap load of noise too, but other than that i usually just use it and dont worry about it. an ovalised green machine is nothing compared to a low pro its terrible with low pros i ovalised one in one day and i had to glue all the rest of them sh@tty things. like they get so ovalised that the wheels spins it wobbles and it makes the urathane look like its all deformed lol

I didn't break the plastic cores at all but I didnt know you considered this ovalizing. But yea, I've gone through maybe around 8 GMs. They either ovalize, chunk, or loses all the urethane. Sooooo annoying. Stock wheels are awesome :) Silent and nice :)

yea ik what u mean, im not talkin about breaking it, im pretty sure its considering ovalising cuz the bearing slot gets bigger and it gets oval shaped thats why the bearings fall out

Ive had four GM's, just got my second pair. Last pair chunked off. The back wheel got raped in a month and the front lasted until i switched it to the back at the end of summer and within a week it chunked too. I never had a problem with ovalizing/core cracking though, but then again I don't do crazy drops/stairz.

My low pro Yak ovalised so I cut out a piece of thin clear plastic put it in the core then bashed in my bearing using a bolt and a hammer. then i simply cut the rest of the plastic off.

from my experience with gms, they get cracks through the urethane realy quick and that turns into the wheel chunking out, and for the bearing problem, its just ovalization, its fine but annoying to put wheels on.
