yea, the bearings are fine. i thought that too.

I ride a stock headset,Cosby did it for me, and it is better than a lot of my friends headset who have like "FSA's dude!11!!!"
It is the nicest thing ever.
Cosby did the following to my headset:
Put a crown race upside down over the top bearings, put a wedge on top of the crown race and tighten it will only the small bolt. NOT BOTH BOLTS!!!
It is so perfect!!!!!!!!!

that only works if you have the compression ring from an FSA DH Pro headset. i've done it.
